    Georgian College art students win big with Harmony Village Lake Simcoe

    City Core Developments has selected the work of three Georgian College fine arts students to display at the Harmony Village Lake Simcoe presentation centre. A unique art competition was held giving aspiring artists in the community a chance to see their work move from the classroom to the showroom. Students were asked to design an art fixture that reflected the vision and surroundings of the future waterfront development.

The developer won two awards for its Edition/Richmond including Project of the Year – Low Rise, along with the award for Best New Home Design for Semi or Townhome Under 1,500 square feet. Each year the industry celebrates the GTA’s best in 48 different categories including design, construction, sales and marketing.

    At 10:30am EST on Thursday, May 2nd, One World Trade Center will become the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere. Construction crews are set raise the final part of the spire on the 104-floor skyscraper, capping the building at 1,776 feet — referring to the year the Declaration of Independence was signed. The topping out of the building was originally scheduled for Monday, but was postponed due to wind.
