Sales have been moving at a remarkable pace at Friday Harbour, the 600 acre waterfront resort development on Lake Simcoe by Geranium Corporation and Re:Play Resorts.
The successful opening weekend set the tone for sales thus far. On opening weekend, $40 million in sales occurred including several homes priced over $1 million. In fact, two home designs were sold out completely.
Impressive? Absolutely! Surprising? Not really.
Friday Harbour boasts an impressive array of appealing features and resort amenities, not to mention an extremely desirable location on Lake Simcoe. With a state-of-the-art 40 acre marina with up to 1,000 boat slips and an 18-hole championship golf course designed by the famed Doug Carrick, the development will surely be a destination for urbanites and suburbanites looking to get away from the hustle and bustle.
It will also feature walking trails through a 200 acre protected nature preserve and a waterfront pedestrian village that takes its cues from European harbour towns.
Friday Harbour is massive in its scope and there’s so many facets of the project to explore. Two great ways to learn more about the project are to check out the Friday Harbour blog and to swing by the immaculate presentation centre in Toronto’s Flatiron Building at 49 Wellington Street East (second floor). And of course, give our own interview with Earl Rumm of Geranium, the man who first envisioned Friday Harbour.
