144 Park: Coming on strong in the fall

BuzzBuzzHome Corp.
August 31, 2010

A big announcement today for all you homebuyers out there who are looking for some great condo living in the Waterloo area.

Mady Development Corp’s project, 144 Park [map] is 65% sold out! The summer has been strong for the development. Two very successful open houses were held in July and August and Mady is expecting the condo to be equally successful during the fall.

The success will likely be spurred even further by the fact that Mady anticipate that their approvals and permits for the construction of the condo tower will come through by the end of 2010. Currently, architects are working hard on the drawings for the building, so all signs are positive that 144 Park will be completed by 2013.

Once completed, 144 Park will feature great amenities like indoor, heated vehicle parking, a car wash bay, a theatre room and a party room with a caterers’ kitchen and bar.

The development is also heavy on green features, such as a high efficiency heating system, low VOC paint, Energy Star rated refrigerators and dishwashers and a convenient recycling facility.

Suites range in price from $216,990 to $1,202,900.

This is an exciting project for the Waterloo area so we’ll be following this one closely.

For more information email sales@144park.ca or call the sales centre at 519-954-8144. The presentation centre is open Monday to Thursday between 12pm and 6pm and Saturday and Sunday between 12pm and 5pm.

But it's so ugly and they're knocking down a cool historic brick warehouse (in Toronto would sell as $500k+ lofts) and old Victorian homes for this!? :(

    Hello Anonymous,

    Thanks for you comments.

I actually think that the architecture is very nice and timeless.

From my previous walks around the neighbourhood, as well as checking it on Google Streetview, this looks like it will be a welcome change for the neighbourhood.

Further, Mady brings with an amazing reputation for building as well as a strong environmental side to the building.

    Kudos to them!
