Top 6 Worst Condo Names

Bad condo names always have annoyed me. Condo names are a key element in the branding of a project, but the name sticks with the building for a long time. My condo has been registered for three years, and I still call it by it’s branded name, and I love it.

In preparing this list, I checked out hundreds of Condos in Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia, however, my list only includes buildings from the GTA… does that say something about the marketing in this city?

Know of any other bad / funny condo names??? Please let me know, and I will add it to this list.

6. U Condominiums [map];

5. Red Hot Condos Designer Edition [map];

4. 17 Foot Ceilings Condo [map];

3. MidniteCondoSale (ok.. really called California Condos) [map];

2. Wide Suites Condominium [map]; and, in first place….

1. UpSideDownCondoPrices [map].

Just to be clear… I am not mocking the effectiveness of the marketing campaigns to sell units, as lots of these campaigns have done extremely well… I just wouldn’t want to live in a building with any of the names above!

    I feel compelled to respond to this post. Midnite condo sale was created as an advertising campaign, NOT as a name. It was a web-driven campaign that was highly successful in creating new activity for a project that had been open for a long time and needed some new excitement.

    Midnite Condo Sale is just that. Not a brand. It is advertising campaign designed to drive traffic to a content rich url where they have an opportunity to receive special offers available only online in addition a full website offering product information. This is the new wave of advertising.

    Here's a reference point for you; Nike advertises justdoit.com not nike.com.

  • Sheppard Condos

    I was never impressed when I saw "Options For Homes" plastered around some build sites. To me this makes the condos sound like it isn't quite a home, or the condos are a secondary option instead of a home. But the final condo names are good, like "The Village by High Park". And its a great addition to the Junction neighbourhood too.
