What makes a good condo or development name??
Obviously, the answer is different to everyone and there is a huge slew of names that I can't stand (maybe a future post will be about what names are silly). To me, the name should provoke a sense of place and feeling. From the name, you should be able to identify with the feel of the building, and be given a sense of the location of the building.
Below, BuzzBuzzHome has ranked our top 10 development names from Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver.
1. M5V Condominiums (Queen Street West, Toronto - Tas Design Build)
2. Electric City (Silverthorn, Toronto - Channington Developments)
3. Coco On Spruce (Fairview, Vancouver - Delta Group)
4. The Colour of Urban Living (Downtown, Vancouver - Concord Pacific)
5. 1717 Avenue (Nortown, Toronto - Tribute Communities)
6. Shangri-La (Queen Street West, Toronto)
7. MuseumHouse On Bloor (University, Toronto - Veisman Consultants Inc)
8. Lippincott Living (Little Italy / China Town, Toronto - Blurredge Group)
9. Bohemian Embassy Flats & Lofts (Queen Street West, Toronto - Baywood Homes)
10. Eightwelve (Beltline, Calgary - Eau Claire Lookout Developments Ltd)
I have no clue what professionally makes a name great, but you may want to ask our marketing firm La Ads (who can now be found on Twitter, @LAInc_Creative) who has originated many of the great development names across Canada and the US.
Have any great names from other cities? Send me an email, and I will consider adding them to our list (info@buzzbuzzhome.com).
